Our senior herdsire for the past five breeding seasons, Tidy Bee combines the exceptional genetics and phenotype of the RA breeds all-time most influential sire, Cherokee Canyon, with one of the breeds most recognized cowlines. He is the high octane "Red Ferrari" of our herd that has produced a string of fantastic replacement heifers and highly desireable herdsires. We could easily go on and on with all the features and performance characteristics that have made this bull the "keystone" to our registered and commercial RA herd. He isn't camera shy either, which is why you will find so many Tidy Bee "poses" throughout our website. If you desire to acquire some of Tidy Bee's genetics, you need to come early or make reservations, since his bulls are usually the very first chosen and we rarely part with any of his daughters. However, we are looking to collect semen this year and make him a little more accessible while also retaining his genetics for our continued use.

For his fifteen commercial and registered offspring, he has put up some pretty impressive numbers: Averages for BW=71, WW=675 and YW=989. With our relatively small herd size, we rarely keep a herdbull for more than two breeding season. This bull is structurally sound, very gentle, experienced and ready to go to work!

However, his new owner agreed to take delivery in June, thereby allowing us to use him to service a group of several heifers and mature cows. This should be a good warm-up for the 100 cow commercial herd he will attending to this summer.

Here is a grandson of legendary RA sires Goldrobber and Big Mac that will add some real depth of rib, length and muscling to his offspring. Noted calving ease EPD and excellent growth. It is hard to tell he is nearly 3 months younger than the rest of our yearling bulls as his explosive growth quickly put him shoulder to shoulder with most of his older contemporaries. We purchased his dam as a yearling heifer at the 2006 Iowa Beef Expo, coming from the reknowned show cattle herd of Walnut Springs Farm, Michigan. Ms. McFaye was a very loooong framed cow with angular feminine front and exceptional back-end muscling. She has performed very well in County and State Fairs and produced some very nice replacement heifers and herdsires.
